I never really used any primer on my face or my lids because I thought it really was not necessary. Well, I was totally wrong about that! I tried out the Photo Finish Lid Primer by Smashbox and now, I don't think I will ever apply eyeshadow without using it first. I found the eyeshadow to look more true to the color I was applying and furthermore, the shadow looks good all day long!

Concealer Brush - Product Review
Hello friends!
I wanted to share with you a beauty tool that I believe to work well and be effective. I recently purchased the #18 Concealer brush from Studio Gear. The bristols are soft and natural. This brush is pretty large for a concealer brush, thus is can be used for applying your foundation as well. I prefer to use a brush rather than my finger to apply concealer and foundation. Your finger just does not blend or get into the pores and fine lines quite as effectively as a brush. There is a visible difference when using a brush as opposed to the finger application. The brush gives a more professional, more authentic, more natural appearance in my opinion.

Lip Gloss
Wanted to share a lip gloss find with you. I received the Aveda lip shine as a gift and I really think it is a nice product. It is very subdued and the shine is lovely. I am using the Grapefruit Pulp color and it feels really nice on the lips. You could also wear this shade over a lipstick.

Eye Liner - Product Review
Everything you see or read about on my blog I have personal experience using. Today I will be reviewing Physician's Formula Eye Liner. I like this eye liner because of the tip. The tip is very firm and easy to control. Also, it is quick to dry and will not irritate the skin. This eye liner really makes the eyes pop, and the price is reasonable!

More Fun in the Tub
If you are looking for something unique to use in the tub, look no further than Glo Bath. This bubble bath really glows in the dark. This is fun for kids as well as adults. Glo Bath also makes a great bachelorette gift! Just don't expect this product to produce a lot of bubbles.

Want to have some fun while taking a bath? Try adding a splash of colour to the water! This product is so fun and it really works. The product is safe for those with sensitive skin and it does not stain the tub. These products come in envelope size as well as bottles.

Badger Balm Product Review
Having trouble getting to sleep? Try Badger Sleep Balm with lavender and bergamot. This balm is very soothing and calming. It is rather emollient and is now a USDA Certified Organic product! You will love the consistency of this product, just a little bit goes a long way. Some of the ingredients include: Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Golden Yellow Beeswax. Badger Balm is a qaulity brand and sells for $10.00 for a two ounce tin. This Company also offers other products such as: lip care, soaps and oils, etc.

Nail Polish
Ladies can never have enough choices when it comes to nail color. Essie nail polish is a quality product. I love all their creative names, such as Blushing Bride and Allure just to name a few. Below is an example of their Au Natural shade.

Great Stocking Stuffers
What girl doesn't like lip balm? Ballmania has some great items that can be used as stocking stuffers. I have the basketball and I love it! They offer many different varieties, so go to their website and check it out! These come with or without the clip. The clipped ones are great for golf bags, gym bags or purses.

Eyebrows Matter
For those with sparse, faint or overplucked eyebrows, there is an excellent product that can help us to look and feel our best. Let's face it, our eyebrows frame our face and they do matter. I have not found a better product on the market for eyebrow enhancement.

Amazing Concealer Product Review
For those of you with a lot of pink undertones to your skin this concealer will probably work well for you. It is rather dense and goes on easily. It does seem to blend rather well. If you have a lot of yellow or brown undertones to your skin, you might want to explore other brands. Also, this concealer is a bit expensive for a very small tube. The good news is you do not need to use very much, only a pinprick can go pretty far. I suggest warming it between two fingers prior to applying it to your skin.

A Word About Purses
We change our clothes and our shoes everyday, but we carry the same purse for quite awhile. It is a chore to change purses because that is where we keep all our stuff. I recommend buying quality over quantity. If you buy quality it will last and last, and you will be proud of the item and appreciate it more (especially if you have scrimped and saved to have something special.)
There are a couple of brands that are unique and are quality made. I carry a Kooba purse. I love it and I have received many compliments about my purse. Even total strangers comment that they love my purse. http://www.kooba.com/#/collections
I am also impressed with Francesco Biasia. http://shop.biasia.com/biasia/index.asp?l=usa&c=usa

Makeup Artist I admire
There are people who put makeup on you and then there are Makeup Artists. Anyone can apply makeup to your face, but a Makeup Artist is someone who is skilled and can make you look your most beautiful or as I say, "pop".
I admire Kevyn Aucoin, he was the master of Makeup Artistry. What Michael Jackson was to dance, Kevyn Aucoin was to makeup artistry. http://www.kevynaucoin.com/ It is too bad that we lost him so soon.
Today, I am most impressed with Michelle Phan. I have learned so much from her on her YouTube videos. She helped to develop the IQQU skincare line and she is also involved with a fashion line called Tofugirls. I will provide the links for you to peruse.

Thoughts on Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery is becoming so over used in our society, and for some who seek out surgery as a way to make them feel better about themselves it can become an addiction. I do believe in plastic surgery for corrective purposes, however, I am against having surgery for vanity's sake. I believe that you can look beautiful at any age, beauty is something that starts inside of you. You can enhance your appearance by taking good care of yourself. If you eat right, exercise, use makeup to enhance your natural features, dress appropriately, etc., these things can have a positive effect on the way you look and feel about yourself.
I find people who enhance their natural beauty far more intriging and interesting than those who have had plastic surgery to enhance their appearance. Often times people who seek out plastic surgeons are trying to fit into a mold of what society has deemed looks good. For example, someone seeking plastic surgery might try to look more like a celebrity they believe is beautiful.
What are your thoughts? Feel free to post a comment.

What I have in my makeup kit....
I tend to stay with products that are tried and true. I also like to keep things simple.
- Concealer - Amazing Cosmetics (this is to cover bags under eyes and any redness)
- Foundation - MAC (to even out skin tone)
- Loose Powder - MAC (used to set makeup)
- Eyebrow Powder - Eyebrowz (to fill in sparse areas)
- Eyebrow Gel - Anastsia (keeps brow hairs in place)
- Blush - MAC (adds a splash of color to the cheeks)
- Mascara - Lancome Definicils (for longer lashes)
- Eyeshadow - Lancome (for the lids)
- Translucent powder - Chanel (this has a bit of shimmer, but it rocks!)
