I never really used any primer on my face or my lids because I thought it really was not necessary. Well, I was totally wrong about that! I tried out the Photo Finish Lid Primer by Smashbox and now, I don't think I will ever apply eyeshadow without using it first. I found the eyeshadow to look more true to the color I was applying and furthermore, the shadow looks good all day long!

I wanted to share with you a beauty tool that I believe to work well and be effective. I recently purchased the #18 Concealer brush from Studio Gear. The bristols are soft and natural. This brush is pretty large for a concealer brush, thus is can be used for applying your foundation as well. I prefer to use a brush rather than my finger to apply concealer and foundation. Your finger just does not blend or get into the pores and fine lines quite as effectively as a brush. There is a visible difference when using a brush as opposed to the finger application. The brush gives a more professional, more authentic, more natural appearance in my opinion.
Wanted to share a lip gloss find with you. I received the Aveda lip shine as a gift and I really think it is a nice product. It is very subdued and the shine is lovely. I am using the Grapefruit Pulp color and it feels really nice on the lips. You could also wear this shade over a lipstick.

For those with sparse, faint or overplucked eyebrows, there is an excellent product that can help us to look and feel our best. Let's face it, our eyebrows frame our face and they do matter. I have not found a better product on the market for eyebrow enhancement.
For those of you with a lot of pink undertones to your skin this concealer will probably work well for you. It is rather dense and goes on easily. It does seem to blend rather well. If you have a lot of yellow or brown undertones to your skin, you might want to explore other brands. Also, this concealer is a bit expensive for a very small tube. The good news is you do not need to use very much, only a pinprick can go pretty far. I suggest warming it between two fingers prior to applying it to your skin.

We change our clothes and our shoes everyday, but we carry the same purse for quite awhile. It is a chore to change purses because that is where we keep all our stuff. I recommend buying quality over quantity. Plastic surgery is becoming so over used in our society, and for some who seek out surgery as a way to make them feel better about themselves it can become an addiction. I do believe in plastic surgery for corrective purposes, however, I am against having surgery for vanity's sake. I believe that you can look beautiful at any age, beauty is something that starts inside of you. You can enhance your appearance by taking good care of yourself. If you eat right, exercise, use makeup to enhance your natural features, dress appropriately, etc., these things can have a positive effect on the way you look and feel about yourself.
I find people who enhance their natural beauty far more intriging and interesting than those who have had plastic surgery to enhance their appearance. Often times people who seek out plastic surgeons are trying to fit into a mold of what society has deemed looks good. For example, someone seeking plastic surgery might try to look more like a celebrity they believe is beautiful.
